Have Your Say

Concerns relating to pot fisheries in D&S IFCA’s District and how to address the issues.

Concerns have been raised regarding the pot fisheries in the South West of England, including those within D&S IFCA’s District, with a growing expectation that action is needed to address the issues that have been raised.

D&S IFCA cannot manage or address issues beyond its District, but it can and does manage potting activity within its District.

What is D&S IFCA Doing?

D&S IFCA is conducting an informal Have Your Say consultation which is targeted at the commercial and recreational potting sectors. It covers a range of topics, and the answers provided can inform the B&PSC’s discussions and identify potential management measures in the D&S IFCA’s District that would be formally consulted on.

All potting permit holders in D&S IFCA’s District have been directly notified about the informal consultation and how they can respond. The consultation begins on 18th October and ends on 15th November (midnight).

To help gather views of commercial and recreational potters, an online informal consultation survey has been created.

The survey can be found using this link or the QR code below.
