Wrasses Complex FMP and Black Seabream FMP – Online Survey

The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) is reaching out to a range of stakeholders to complete their on-line survey by the end of January 2025.

The Marine Management Organisation’s (MMO’s) Fisheries Management Plan (FMP) team is leading on the development of three Tranche 4 FMPs.  Amongst these are the Wrasses Complex FMP and the Black Seabream FMP, covering the management of several species across all English waters.

On-Line Survey

The MMO has found that the use of online surveys proved to be an effective tool in the development of the Tranche 3 FMPs.  The MMO has decided to use an online survey once again to complement their in-person and other on-line engagement.

D&S IFCA is assisting the MMO by communicating the opportunity to engage, but D&S IFCA is not managing the information provided in the online survey.

This combined Wrasses Complex FMP and Black Seabream FMP online survey is now live: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/wrasses-complex-fmp-and-black-seabream-fmp-online-survey

The purpose of this survey is to map out stakeholders involved in these relatively data deficient fisheries, as well as gain a wide breadth and depth of insights on the status of these fisheries, views on current management measures, as well as any other concerns or issues.

The survey will be open until the end of January 2025, and the results will be used to help inform the MMO’s in-person engagement and further conversations with other stakeholders. If you have any further questions, please use the email address below:
