An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Devon and Severn Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority as an Enforcement Officer based in Brixham.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Devon and Severn Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority as an Enforcement Officer. 

Based at the main Brixham office, the successful applicant will join a small, professional team of officers responsible for the management of marine fisheries resources and conservation within the Authority’s District. 

This is permanent appointment – 37 hours per week.

All Enforcement Officers are expected to crew the Authority’s vessels and previous sea going experience is desirable.  You must be physically capable of carrying out boardings and inspections at sea and be willing to work unsocial hours as required.

The post holder will become a warranted officer and will be expected to enforce fisheries and marine environmental legislation.  Previous experience in an enforcement role is desirable.

Applicants should possess good IT, literacy, numeracy, and communication skills as well as being able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.  Regular training will be provided.

All employees have the opportunity to join the Devon County Council pension scheme and receive 25 days annual leave.
